 Many big and small buildings made of Baumberger Sandstone, the typical bright-yellow building material for this region, shape the outlook of the village and the surroundings of Havixbeck, a village with a vivid centre, original "Gemütlichkeit" and a lot of nature for various leisure time activities. Over centuries, sculptors broke the sandstone under great effort. Stonemasons, sculptors and architects created their works with it. To show this work, a sandstone museum was erected.
